Suspension control arm

A control arm (reaction rod) is a suspension link that locates the axle or wheel and controls its movement.

It holds the axle in position against driving, braking, and cornering forces while allowing the suspension to move up and down, keeping the wheels aligned.

Control arms connect the axle to the chassis. Because they affect handling and stability, worn arms or their bushings should be inspected by a qualified technician.
