Brake wear sensor

A sensor is a device that measures a physical condition — such as speed, temperature, pressure, or position — and sends a signal to a control unit.

It converts the measured value into an electrical signal so the vehicle's systems can monitor and adjust the engine, brakes, or other functions.

Sensors are fitted throughout the engine, transmission, brakes, and chassis. Because many feed safety and emission systems, a faulty sensor should be diagnosed by a qualified technician.
