CLUTCH DISC

A clutch is the component that connects and disconnects the engine from the gearbox so gears can be changed.

A friction disc is pressed against the flywheel to transmit power and released to interrupt it, letting the vehicle start smoothly from rest and change gears.

The clutch sits between the engine and the gearbox. The correct clutch matches the engine torque, the flywheel, and the gearbox input.
