FLANGED BUSH

A bushing is a sleeve, often of rubber or metal, that cushions a joint and locates a moving part.

It absorbs vibration and shock while allowing limited, controlled movement, and reduces wear between parts that pivot or slide.

Bushings are common in the suspension, steering linkage, and engine and cab mountings. The correct bushing matches the housing and the movement the joint allows.
