Screw

A screw is a threaded fastener that is turned into a part to hold it, either cutting its own thread or engaging a tapped hole.

Turning the screw draws the parts together and the thread holds them by friction, allowing the joint to be undone and remade for service.

Screws hold panels, covers, brackets, and small components throughout the vehicle. The correct screw matches the thread, length, head type, and driver.
