Compresseur d'air

An air compressor is the engine-driven pump that produces the compressed air for a truck's air systems.

It compresses air and feeds the reservoirs that supply the air brakes, air suspension, and other consumers, with a dryer and governor conditioning and limiting the pressure.

The compressor is mounted on the engine. Because it feeds the braking system, faults should be diagnosed and repaired by a qualified technician.
